20,00

Artisan solid cast bronze figure of a Balinese pig by Javanese artisans. The Balinese pig appears in various religious traditions and mythologies. Although Indonesia is predominantly Muslim the island of Bali is mainly Hindu-Buddhist. Traditionally in Bali, a pig roast is part of a Hindu ceremony where the killing of the pig is a purification ritual and symbolic of the destruction of evil, and the food then is an offering to God. This high-quality bronze was made by the hotcast lost wax process.
